First National Bank of Buhl

Celebrating FNBOB Community Banking!

Hello everyone it’s Penny!

We just wanted to let all of you know that starting next week (September 16th) we will be running a couple different contests for our wonderful customers! We will have one for the kiddos and one for the adults as well! It will run throughout the week all the way to the end of the day Friday! Friday we also will be celebrating our own “Community Banking Day”!

For the kids, we will have a few different pictures they can choose from, and all they have to do is color it in, anyway they choose, and turn it back in by the end of the day Friday (September 20th) to be entered into the drawing! Coloring pages can be picked up at either of the banks locations and just remember, when returned, be sure to include the name (first and last) of the coloring artist on the page. FYI, this is not a coloring contest! By coloring the picture and returning it, they simply get their name put into the drawing for a chance to win their very own FNBOB bag of goodies! So no need to help them stay in the lines, Parents hehe!!

For the adults, we will be bringing back “How many Pennies are in the Pigpen”! This is a quite simple contest for those of you that did not partake last year. Simply, when you come to either location to do your banking business for the day, ask to take a look at the “Pigpen”. Once you’ve calculated the perfect amount just relay your guess to whomever is assisting you and you’re all set! And that much closer to winning your bag of FNBOB goodies! Along with your guess we will also take down your name and current number so we can inform you of your winnings. This contest will run all the way thru Friday, the 20th as well!

Both Buhl and the Mountain Iron branches will be holding separate contests for both the kids and adults. You can enter contests at both locations to double up your odds of winning! However, only one entry is allowed per location.

For the “How Many Pennies” contest, there will be different totals at each location and be sure NOT to guess over. This year, we’ve decided to help you all out a little and give you a range to guess between, which will be from 1000 to 3000. We think that’s plenty of pennies roaming around the pigpen at one time!

We will post the rules for the “Pennies Contest” at both of the banks locations. You can also find them in the clickable link below.

Update to Regulation CC Thresholds

Starting July 1st 2020, inflation adjustments will impact the thresholds to “Regulation CC” as following:

  • $200 is changing to $225 (Note: the $200 amount is still referred to $100 in Reg CC). This amount is used on case-by-case holds and will impact most financial institutions.
  • $5,000 is changing to $5,525. This amount is used on certain special exception holds, such as large deposit holds, new account holds, and repeatedly overdrawn holds. This change will also impact most financial institutions.
